2 months left students await photocopies of answersheets

Aurangabad: Inordinate delay in receiving photocopies of their answer-sheets has forced some post-graduate students of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) to appear for fresh exams. The students alleged that more than two months have passed since they applied for the photocopies, and they have had no choice but to give their exams again

We had applied for a photocopy of the answer-sheets through our college on January 7 by paying requisite fees. In my case, I had sought photocopies for three subjects. I failed in one subject and got less marks in the other two. While around a months time was expected to get access to photocopies, we have still not received them, said one of the affected students. He added, It is a mockery of education system. Throughout the last two months, we have been eaten with uncertainty over the previous marks and worries about the upcoming exams. When contacted, BAMUs officiating controller of examination, Pralhad Lulekar, said the varsity has cleared all applications seeking photocopies of answer-sheets. We had personally contacted colleges and asked them to take custody of the desired photocopies of answer-sheets of students. Not a single application is pending with us right now, he told ToI. Hemlata Wankhede, director of the Government Institute of Science, to which the said students belong, said her office staff had responded to every phone call made by the university about the photocopies of answer-sheets, but a few students are still left out due to a fault by the university
